My Climate Initiative

My Climate Initiative is a project to raise awareness about climate change along the Great Himalaya Trail (GHT) in Nepal. It aims to document the impact of changing climate on mountain communities, and accounts their sustainable adaptation practices and vulnerabilities. It also aims to raise funds for charity dedicated to children’s education through Trek4Education campaign.

Trek4Education

Trek4Education is my endeavor to raise funds for children’s education while trekking the 1555 KM stretch of GHT. The fund raised is used to provide scholarships to the climatically vulnerable communities along the trail. The sum amount is deposited at a local bank in Nepal, and the scholarship is run solely from the interest generated on the principal.

I am Paribesh Pradhan. I walked the Great Himalaya Trail – Climate Smart Celebrity Trek with Apa Sherpa, the world record holder of the most Everest summits, and Dawa Steven Sherpa to raise awareness about climate change and campaign for Trek4Education.
